The Rhythm Section

The Rhythm Section

24" x 24" | Original Acrylic Painting | $575

The Rhythm Section feels like you've walked into a crowded jazz club just as the band hits its groove. Saxophone, bass, clarinet, and trumpe fill the composition, surrounded by layers of blue, teal, brown, white, and gold.

Created with acrylic paint and a palette knife, the thick texture is an important part of the artwork. Scraped lines, raised paint, and loose expressive marks give the piece the raw energy of live music rather than a polished, static scene.

Part of Ahmad Austin’s signature Blockhead series, this is an original work created for collectors who appreciate contemporary art, jazz culture, and artwork with personality.
